Oh boy, I’m honestly not even sure where to start. I guess I’ll start off by saying a HUGE thank you to KJ, Leah and their family and friends. Joining them this past week for their Caribbean cruise wedding was a dream come true. From the second we met KJ & Leah last year, we just knew that not only were they an amazing couple, but Nick and I meshed so well with them too. In the wedding photography industry, that is SO important, especially when you’re about to spend an entire week together! Some of their family spotted Nick and I in the airport the morning we left and literally were so excited we were joining them, when in all reality, Nick and I were about jumping out of our seats in excitement over joining them!! From the second we stepped on the ship, we were greeting with such kindness by each of their guests that were joining them (there were over 50 of us!). When we finally caught up with KJ & Leah, I saw those first big smiles of the trip and I honestly don’t think they went away the entire week. Those two are in love ya’ll, like serious love. They just radiate near each other, and it wasn’t just that Caribbean sun shining either!
The wedding day took place on day 2 of the cruise on the beautiful island of Half Moon Cay. I spent the morning with the girls as they got ready and while Leah did all of their hair…uh hello talented! Nick spent the morning with the guys as they relaxed and boarded the water shuttles early to take them over to the island. I will say, cruise weddings are FAST! We had very little time to squeeze everything in, but it’s almost necessary to run things like that because it is HOT out there and it’s easy to get burnt very quickly! The ceremony was beautiful though and seeing KJ’s reaction as Leah walked down the aisle made actual tears run down my face, not just sweat haha!
The reception was back on the ship and is scheduled for 2 hours. Do you know what happens when you only have a 2 hour reception? You start dancing….and you don’t stop for the entire time! These people knew how to have a good time, even if it was 2:00 in the afternoon!
We finished off the night with some beautiful sunset portraits and then all headed over for some casual karaoke to end the day. We still had 4 days on the cruise left after the wedding so it was SO wonderful to be able to spend time just hanging out and getting to know more of everyone without the stress of the wedding hanging over our heads.
Overall, it was an absolutely amazing trip and again, Nick and I are so incredibly grateful that we were able to capture such a beautiful wedding. If you’re contemplating a cruise wedding, go for it, you won’t regret it!
Enjoy these sneak peeks of some of my favorites from the week and wedding day 🙂

Thank you so much Amanda!
We cannot thank you two enough for spending the week with us and capturing so many incredible moments. Not only are the pictures gorgeous, you were able to capture the love and joy in Leah and KJ’s faces in a way I’ve never seen before. So many good memories we will enjoy for years to come.
It was our pleasure! Thank you for allowing us to share such a special time with you all!
